sorsogon bay. i painted it. Being an artist doesn’t necessarily mean that you must be equipped with profound knowledge on arts and its artists or born with the outright skills to create a magnificent painting. Being an artist means being able to create something out of experience and out of imagination. It is making use of your own abilities to make something that other people can’t. It is not based on what people have to say but what you think and feel. It means being able to appreciate art itself, its uniqueness and the thoughts that it wants to convey. I really enjoyed the humanities class when I was in 3rd year. Not that I’m an artist-wannabe (maybe now I do) or something but because I learned a lot. Within a week, I usually get to learn about the different concepts of the human physiology, tackle on different disorders, sometimes incurable, and wreck my brain from whatever our concepts are concerned. Humanities is way different. All I needed back then is a sketching pad and pencil and draw. I don’t need to concentrate much or panic but just sit back and let my hand do the sketching. I’m still looking forward to more art appreciation days. The things I’ve learned in this subject will always be applied to real life. To always be real and express one feels and keep the value of respect for each and everyone’s individuality. Hi to Sir J****d. You were an awesome art teacher. :))
